Mid-Term Struggles

Hey! So this week's post is about mid-term struggles. Mid-terms are designed to help us apply the knowledge we gained and see if were really understanding as well as retaining the information. But to study for mid-terms, it causes us to become a little stressed out or in a way similar to how girls get when its their time of the month; cranky, annoyed, and sleep deprived.
But why do we as humans do this to ourselves? We cram the night before the exam, however that night is filled with junk food, sleep deprivation; thus creating a bunch of tired and cranky teenagers. But, honestly, why do we do this to ourselves? We know ahead of time that these exams are coming up, so why do we put off studying for it at the last minute? An article by Alexandra Sifferlin states that teens who stay up late cramming for a test are more likely to have academic problems the following day such as performing poorly on the test that they stayed up studying for http://healthland.time.com/2012/08/21/study-or-sleep-for-better-grades-students-should-go-to-bed-early/

Me 😁

HI! Well my name is Paola, and this is my first ever blog post. So I would like to introduce my blog, which is called Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Silence. This blog will be about the daily struggles of college students, which can range from economy struggles, addictions, social media and the drama which is something that even "adults" can't escape from. Yet when we complain about these situations we are either told to keep quiet about it or told to grow up and meet reality. Which to me, is not O.K. We were all fortunately born with a voice and should have the ability to use it whenever and however we want.
So feel free to rant on here, let it all out because there is always someone listening.
